My name is Nicholas Yi and I am a freshman at Florida State University. My interest in whether college is worth it or not spiked at the beginning of this year when I started making money online by "drop-shipping". I saw the potential and power of social media marketing and it made me question whether attending college was really necessary to be successful. Growing up I always believed in the orthodox route of attending college, graduating with a degree, going to graduate school, and locking up a secure job. Now that I am able to generate an income for myself, I am curious to know where I would be in life if I dedicated my time to work rather than the basic general education courses I am currently taking. I still have a few businesses, but there is so much more I would love to do with the power of social media these days. Balancing school and work is not easy, but I think that is the best path for me at this point.
